Ep.26 – Silent But Deadly
Dave and Rob head back to February of 1999 to look back at the North American release of Konami's Silent Hill. Conceptualized as a game that would focus on the fear of the unknown, David teaches a lesson on this concept of Xenophobia, and explains just how it gets thrown around so much, and how it relates to Silent Hill. Looking back at reception for the game, the boys talk about how it unfairly never really left Resident Evil's spotlight. Dave quizzes Rob on real and fictional horror locations to honor the sleepy town of Silent Hill, before the gaming question of the week has the boys talking about games that were so scary, they just had to put them down. Join today's frightening trip down Memory Card Lane.
